In the limited release arena, the witty spy thriller ``Tailor of Panama'' (Columbia),
based on the John le Carre novel, jumped eight places to No. 12 with $1.6 million
after boosting its screen count by just over 50 percent. The film, which stars Pierce
Brosnan, Geoffrey Rush and Jamie Lee Curtis, has earned $6.8 million after 24 days.
In its first foreign tryout, ``The Tailor of Panama'' John Boorman's spy thriller starring Pierce Brosnan and Geoffrey Rush, dressed up a reasonable $410,000 in a limited U.K. release. Teen chiller ``The Hole'' was D.O.A. with a wide-release haul of $972,000.
