Alias Smith and Jones rode onto our television sets on January 21, 1971. Although it only aired for two years, its impact, at least on my life, was profound.
For me, the series ended with when Peter was found shot dead in his Hollywood Hills apartment on December 31, 1971. Although his role as Hannibal Heyes in the series would soon be replaced by Roger Davis, it was Peter who made the role and the series.
This page, then, is my humble dedication to Peter. He is sorely missed. His smile still lights up my television screen and my heart via the wonders of videotape, but no one will ever take his place in television history.
Coming soon to these pages, will be a Alias Smith and Jones series summary and a list of episodes if I can gather them. Also, I will transcribe numerous articlesI have about Peter Duel and Ben Murphy. Thanks for your patience, especially all of you who have sent e-mail in support of the series. Both Pete and Ben had roles in another favorite show of mine The Name of the Game
